"I was supposed to have a year off because I was kinda worn out from touring and I needed a break. I was gonna have a quiet year and record an album. I had to go home and take care of my personal life. A lot of things happened at the same time so I just wrote some new songs as a reaction to that because I needed some kind of escape."
