Following the fatal hit-and-run at the end of January, Suge Knight will be spending another six weeks behind bars after his bail hearing was postponed to March.

Originally, the bail was set at $2 million, but prosecutors want more time to go over evidence. Allegedly, there could be a "very large stack of uncharged crimes" to go on, prior convictions that will most likely end up in a very hefty sentence indeed. He doesn't have the best track record: at the end of last year he faced up to life in prison after being arrested for robbery. Life is a bit heavy-handed, don't you think?

The victim, Terry Carter, was a friend of Knight's, but prosecutors have also stated that the intended victim was Cle "Bone" Sloan, also injured. However, the original story was that he was fleeing the scene after a fight with security guards and hit bystanders with the car in his haste to leave. TMZ recently reported that Suge Knight was on the set of Straight Outta Compton to talk to Dr. Dre about how he was being portrayed – it's alleged that Dre doesn't have, and didn't seek, permission to use his likeness in the upcoming film.

It's not the first time drama erupted on the set of the NWA biopic; just seven days into filming, a drive-by shooting occurred after a group of men nearby flashed gang signs to a passing car, which then opened fire. Nobody involved in the film was shot, but a bystander was hit and injured.
