Any headline with Suge Knight's name in it is never a good one. While the Death Row Records co-founder is currently in jail on murder chargers, he filed legal documents this past February, claiming that his solitary confinement violated his human rights. He has no access to visitors or phone-calls (other than his lawyers.) The reason for his major restrictions have previously been under seal, but Knight's lawyer has now asked the judge to unseal certain orders dating back to March 2015, while claiming Suge's treatment stems from a scandal and cover-up, possibly linking a hit-man to Dr. Dre.

While lawyers for Dr. Dre have called the claims "ridiculous," attorney Thaddeus Culpepper argued that Suge's jail restrictions are to stop him from "connecting" the 2015 murder charge to an August 2014 incident where he was shot multiple times. The same detective looking into Knight's murder case also looked into that shooting. The detective was said to have "informed Knight that the gunman stated that Dr. Dre paid him and a friend $50,000 to kill Knight," Culpepper claimed.
