Already boasting avant garde psyche behemoths Swans, as well as Matmos and Wolf Eyes, Birmingham's annual Supersonic Festival will be growing more in 2014 with an additional stage. The new expansion will come at the city's legendary Custard Factory stage Alfie Birds. This will allow organizers to expand ticket sales by 200 for the May 30th-31st event.

On the heels of the news, the festival curators released an abrupt, succinct statement; "We are delighted to have the opportunity to extend the programme by adding another stage to this years event, there are just so many great acts we couldn't help ourselves."

The city's annual event aims to bring together some of the best in underground and under-appreciated acts, as well as film and other mediums. Check out the litany of ooey gooey info on the festival's website, which includes the full lineup, ticket prices, and more.
