If you've seen Swans live sometime in the last eighteen months you've probably been waiting for a studio version of 'Oxygen'. The live version from Not Here / Not Now was a little too bootleggy to do justice the song's insane intensity, but that isn't a problem for this new recording from their forthcoming album To Be Kind.

Michael Gira is menacing and maniacal; a shouting conductor with a mouth of blood steering the tracks predatory groove and wounding percussion into a deranged, and suffocating frenzy. It's dangerous, but completely alluring.

To Be Kind is out on May 12th. Stream 'Oxygen' below.
