Following up 2012's The Seer, one of the most revered albums in the lengthy history of Swans and band figurehead Michael Gira, the band has released a brand new live album in hopes of funding a brand new LP for 2014.

The two-disc live album Not Here/Not Now features live portions of the band's 2012-13 tour dates in Barcelona and Melbourne, as well as "crude" demos that will be featured on the new studio LP. The live album is available only in limited quantity (2000 copies), but every order will also come with handmade linoleum block packaging, an original drawing from Nicole Boitos based off an original Gira sketch, and an autograph from Gira.

Fans can order Not Here/Not Now now, available in seven options ranging from $40 U.S. to $500. The $40 order simply buys the double-CD, while the higher options give a few bonuses. $100 will net an "Executive Producer" title on the new LP, while $500 gets a "video of a simple, short, original song, acoustic guitar and voice, with customers' name in the song, praising the customer, his or her ancestors, thoughts, dreams, and future or past lives, forever," from Gira himself.

The band added in a press release; "The source material for the album is music developed in live performance during the recent tours, as well as songs written by Gira on acoustic guitar, orchestrated and arranged in the studio. Numerous special guests are in the works, but at the time of this writing, further information is not available. The schedule is open-ended, but completion is expected in January of 2014, with a release of late Spring 2014. Extensive Swans touring will ensue shortly thereafter."
