Green Buzzard is the musical moniker of Sydney's Paddy Harrowsmith, who returns today with his first new track in two years, 'I Don't Want To Be Alone'. With the assistance of Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio) behind the boards, he has created a popping and affecting ode to newfound singledom.

Harrowsmith explains: "Essentially the track is about breaking up with someone and weighing up whether or not it's worth trying to fix things – knowing deep down it's ultimately better to move on but selfishly not wanting to be alone."

On 'I Don't Want To Be Alone', Green Buzzard makes that titular message very clear, through a loping and unbearably catchy singalong chorus. Around his main feeling are an assortment of guitar fuzz and popping percussion, which seems to be animating his defeated body and pushing it onwards into the bright and bleary sunshine of a new day. It could be just what you need to get through the next tough spot in your own life.
