Australia's Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have been gradually building up to the release of their debut album since the start of the year. It began in January with the determined 'Mainland', which was followed in April by the tempestuous 'Talking Straight', and today, exactly one month ahead of the release of the album Hope Downs, they release its opening track 'An Air Conditioned Man'.

As usual, RBCF come barreling out of the gates on glistening and gliding guitars, wheeling their way straight into your ears. Into their effortlessly aerodynamic sound they inject images of a city seen from a speeding car window, and the strange dissatisfaction that haunts their best songs is ever present in the undercurrent of their insistent rock. This culminates in a bumpy chorus where they contemplate their entropy and existence, but wheel away with their unstoppable sunshine style before they start getting too ponderous. Check it out below.
