Somehow this week ended up being marked by several online feuds (if this was politics we'd call it 'silly season'), some of which we've already discussed here (Drake de Bergerac much?). One of them was the mild Twitter fight between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, following the unveiling of the nominees for this year's VMAs (seriously, does anyone still care?)

To cut a long story short, Nicki reacted to her being shut out of some categories saying that if she was "a different 'kind' of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well… when the 'other' girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination." Taylor Swift happened to take this personally, promptly responding "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..." She quickly realised how personally and defensively she had taken Minaj's tweet and added a "If I win, please come up with me!! You're invited to any stage I'm ever on."

Now she has emphasised her apologetic point, tweeting the following:

Seriously, no bother going to such extents for a lousy nomination. We're happy you're BFFs again.
