Lil Wayne's plans to retire in the wake of his recent health scares are still on track. He reiterated his intentions yesterday in an interview with MTV, and confirmed that, as previously expected, his upcoming album Tha Carter V will be his last. Saying: "I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five". "It seems like it will be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else."

But it's not completely the end of Lil Wayne's career, he made sure to emphasise the words ' final solo album' and insist he still plans on making guest appearances on other artist's albums. Tha Carter V won't even necessarily be his final solo album if a fan with deep pockets steps forward, as Wayne added this caveat to his retirement plans: "25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this." You better get saving if you wanted to hear what he was going to do next.
