Cloud Corner is our look at the best new music sent into us via Soundcloud. The feature now offers the chance to vote for your favourite, with the winner being interviewed about their experiences as an up and coming band in our sister feature 'Lessons From Cloudcorner'. By way of coincidence, this edition of Cloudcorner features bands exclusively from America - whilst this may appear as patriotism at its worst, the edition also features sone of the strongest entries. Congratulations to Clownfacee, who won last time's Cloud Corner.

presspicture ’Idaho #1’ by Howth In a world saturated with pop-folk, it's rare to find a band that is particularly unique. It's lucky then that New York based Howth should exist. Smothered in originality and effortless style, the duo has everything you could want from a pop folk band. Eureka Birds 'That Mountain is a Volcano' by Eureka Birds If I were able to make a song as good as 'That Mountain is a Volcano', I'd probably be in a band with the word 'Eureka' in it as well. Baltimore-based Eureka Birds create melodious, intelligent indie-pop at its best. You can visit the band by heading to http://www.myspace.com/eurekabirds Photobucket
Phantom Vibration 'Burlington' by Phantom Vibration Phantom Vibration dream in pop. Their music is a contemporary lullaby; saturated in raw emotion and delicate melody. You can visit the band by heading to http://phantomvibration.bandcamp.com Photobucket
Eagle_Deer 'Bumpy Skin' by Eagle/Deer In a world full of bands with animal names, it takes something special to set them apart. Luckily not only does Sara Barrett have two animal names, she also creates soft, evocative folk music of the highest order.
