What happens when your artistic vision consumes you in a way that leaves you (almost) empty? Naturally, you look inward and bring your experiences to the forefront. That’s exactly what Brooklyn artist Adrian Daniel has achieved on his upcoming project, Flawd. It’s a body of work that draws a deep contrast between real-life storytelling and crystalline production. The songs on this album wouldn’t feel out of place in a Blade Runner-esque nightclub, the rhythmic beats of the songs causing lights to swirl past you as you drive into the night. It’s near impossible to pin down what genre-arena this project is meant to exist within, and you can tell that was 100% the intent.

“That’s the most liberating thing, the idea that I can inspire the people that I work with.”
