Creative pursuits provide us with a constant stream of new lessons to learn, many of which can be applied to our everyday lives. This fact is essentially the driving force behind Alice Phoebe Lou’s latest album, Paper Castles.

On the album, we find the South African musician in a form of pure abandon. It's clear that the creative freedom from working on it allowed for a more poignant approach of songwriting to take hold, especially in regards to the lyrics. Ken Grand-Pierre linked up with Alice on release day to find out how the album came to be.

“We had no idea how we were going to record these songs.”
