If you know of Allen Tate, it’s most likely due to the band he’s part of, San Fermin. Though a prominent voice within the band, Tate doesn’t lead the outfit. Luckily for us, he’s using his voice on solo work, with an upcoming sophomore album arriving soon.

The album is called In The Waves, and features Tate exploring sounds that sound familiar to us but different for him. Much more Pixies and Lemonheads than classical arrangements mixed with indie, In The Waves is a great achievement. Ken Grand-Pierre linked up with Tate to discuss how his new album came to be.

“Making this album reminded me how much fun a studio can be.”
