What is a band to do after achieving (almost) all of the successes they ever dreamed of? Well if you’re Belgian indie legends Balthazar, the answer is to take some time off and come back rejuvenated to the point of being an entirely different band. But don’t take my word for it, just hear the songs off their fourth album, Fever (out now). It’s their most experimental yet fun album to date and finds the band at a place where they can fully trust themselves. Ken Grand-Pierre caught up with co-frontmen Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez to find out how the songs of Fever came to be.

“It’s our extroverted record.”
