It’s nothing new for a musician to find inspiration from a breakup, but it’s safe to say that no one has done it the way Jasper Maekelberg (aka Faces on TV) has. His debut album, Night Funeral, not only explores his inner thoughts but also showcases the Belgian wunderkind musically challenging himself. Known largely for his production skills within the Belgian music scene, Maekelberg is also a talented multi-instrumentalist; which is showcased on Night Funeral. To find out how the album came to be, Ken Grand-Pierre chatted with Maekelberg via Skype near the tail-end of festival season.

“It was helpful to write these songs and try so many new sounds.”
