One of the key goals of an artist is to challenge themselves as much as they challenge their audience. This is something that Dutch composer Joep Beving understands. The proof being his latest release, Henosis. It’s a double album comprised of intricate compositions. What sets Henosis apart from his previous work is how keen he is for experimentation, particularly with electronic sounds. The piano is still his first love, but it’s clear to us all that the last thing Beving ever wants to see is limitations. We sent Ken Grand-Pierre to chat again with Beving about his life and the music that informs it.

"People will pay attention to most things that evoke emotion."
