Could you imagine being in a band with your significant other? Most of us would probably answer “hell no” but luckily for us, a band like KOLARS exists to remind us that creating art with someone you love can be a beautiful thing. Live, they wear glitter and makeup on their faces, singer/guitarist Rob Kolar fiercely stretches his legs while he plays his glittery guitar lightning fast, while drummer Lauren Brown stands on her drum kit while also tap dancing on the drum (no joke). KOLARS are currently based in LA, but spend the majority of the year touring their infectious brand of “desert disco”. Ken Grand-Pierre linked up with KOLARS to discuss how they’ve made their live show what it is and what they expect to come next.

“It’s always a conversation that fuels our creativity.”
