Honesty is what you want the most from a songwriter. That sense that what’s being sung is something that’s actually been lived. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who excels at this more than Lauren Ruth Ward. The California native has songs full of colorful wit and poignant heartbreak on her album, Well Hell. It’s an album that’s taken her around the states, at a speed that’s impossible to keep up with! Luckily we had Ken Grand-Pierre catch up with her in New York and explore how the last few months have been for her.
