If there was one word you had to use to describe today’s guest, it’d have to be 'restless'. For the last 10+ years, Lizzy Plapinger has made crater after crater in the music world with label/creative outfit Neon Gold, her indie-pop duo MS MR, and most recently her solo music project LPX. Earlier this year, she released her second EP as LPX, the second of a planned trilogy of releases which will showcase the eclectic breadth of Plapinger’s artistry. If EP no. 1 (Bolt In The Blue) is about kicking down doors with technicolour, then EP no. 2 (Junk Of The Heart) is all about being loudly reflective on life, while holding onto that element of reckless abandon that comes with being in a city like New York. Ken Grand-Pierre met up with Plapinger in Brooklyn for a track-by-track deep dive of the Junk Of The Heart EP.

"This is essentially a love letter to NYC."
