Lilah Larson, Josh Aubin and Ezra Miller make up the band Sons of an Illustrious Father, - a genreless band that veil their hard-hitting songs in absurdity. You might think you know what you’re getting into with a band whose last album was called Deus Sex Machina: Or, Moving Slowly Beyond Nikola Tesla but the truth is that you’d be wrong for making any assumptions about them. Descriptors such as ‘punk’ and ‘innovative’ belittle what it is that they’re doing with their creativity - which is utilizing their voices to make you think. On this episode of the podcast, Ken Grand-Pierre met up with the band to learn more about them and to delve into why art means so much to them.

"It was a time where we achieved a symbiotic blob mind."
