The first word that comes to mind when thinking of The War & and Treaty is 'honesty'. The type of honesty where what needs to be said is always said beautifully with blood, sweat and tears. The story of this band is truly something else. After serving in the US Armed Forces in Iraq, Michael Trotter returned home with the burning desire to write music. After meeting Tanya Blount, the pair became inseparable and would go on to form The War and Treaty. Along with being a band, the duo are also husband and wife - which we talk about on today’s podcast episode. This unlikely journey in music will touch you. Ken Grand-Pierre met with the duo to discuss the birth of The War and Treaty, why building their career had to happen and how their emotional album (Healing Tide) came to be.

"We talk about the hardships in life but we do it with love."
