The best pop music is about real experiences and real moments in life. Syrian/Dutch/Australian musician WAFIA understands this beautifully - her latest EP (VIII) being a great example. It's full of songs that bang, but it’s her pinpoint poignancy that leaves the biggest impression. The standout tune being 'Bodies' - a song about her family’s own experiences with the Syrian refugee crisis. Ken Grand-Pierre linked up with WAFIA to discuss her journey and how she found a home within music.

“It was at that point where it hit me that - 'wow I‘m really doing this.'”
