Describing the York-based Katie-Lou McCabe is a task filled with mystery and magic. Her pixie-like presence reminds you of the ephemeral aura of Kate Bush yet her vocals echo the resemblance to the likes of Chan Marshall of Cat Power, and Sharon Van Etten. Her songs are innocent yet sensual affairs of darkness and light embedded within our natural being and the world we live in.

For her latest track 'Juniper Tree', she has teamed up with group of young talented film makers led by the Yorkshire and London-based Sam Boullier, whose stunning visuals allow us to access the fascinating world of Katie-Lou McCabe. Directed and written by Boullier, the video becomes a kaleidoscopic study of McCabe and her love for the light and magic that surrounds us.
