Johnny Foreigner – The Harley // 1st March 2012

SOME SUMMERS! SOME SUMMERS! In a week that also sees riotous Japanese mentalists Bo Ningen cause havoc at The Harley, Thursday marks the return of their ‘House Band’, Johnny Foreigner, for their staple Sheffield tour date. Last time they played ended with the audience being led out the back door to make snow angels. While the weather might be getting milder, it’s safe to say we can still guarantee a healthy dose of fun this time around.

The War On Drugs – Concorde 2 // 29th February 2012

The War On Drugs return to Brighton following an incredible sold out show at The Haunt at the end of last year. With the euphoric sprawl of their latest LP ‘Slave Ambient’ featuring high in many tastemaker’s end of year lists, don’t miss this second chance to hear the Philadelphia band’s expansive rock, played live and loud.

Monument Valley – The Castle Hotel // 3rd March 2012

Not enough can be said about Monument Valley to do them justice. A band and solo project combined, the brainchild of Ned Younger has a sound kind of like Jamie T. Only more acoustic/folky. But don’t take my word for it. Catch him at a perfectly small venue while you can.

Edinburgh-based five-piece band The Stagger Rats are one of the best Scottish bands around at the moment. Not a difficult decision is it, really?
