Wherever you are in the world: good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. It is time for your 5 a day.

One day, the UK government said, "You should eat 5 portions of fruit or veg[etables] per day." Turns out you should probably eat more than that. But we think it's pretty catchy, so we've hijacked it. Here we'll list FIVE pieces of music per DAY that we think you should check out. As the Italians say, we'll be catching two pigeons with one bean (prendere due piccioni con una fava): we help spread the word about MORE artists, plus we're giving YOU more music to listen to. It's all a joy for us, really!

Intensely sun-flavoured jazz-hop from Mr. Wesley Johnson, featuring some lyrical acrobatics, kick-starts today's proceedings. Then there's some hazy weed-tinged gradually creeping psychedelia in 'Wax Museum' by Lux Libson. Dreamy synth-heavy, piano-sprinkled, sample-laden music by "multi genre producer" Yuni Wa. Then CAVALIER:CAVALIER makes us some dark and bass-heavy electronic beats tinged with a veil of pop. And to finish up, Allura Luna swaddles us in swathes of fine chillment.

You're a fluid version of yourself, walking around all squiffy in the midday sun like a tie-dyed non-Newtonian fluid on a speaker.

You walk around your mind, a landscape akin to Dali's Persistence of Memory, trying to find something that you just can't quite put your finger on. An elusive recollection, maybe. Or perhaps it's just the way out.

"Congratulations," a voice says, "you've learned how to perceive and manipulate the fourth dimension of existence. This is beyond existence. Have fun!" You are a swirling, indefinite cloud of particles and energy.

This soundtracks the inter-event drama that you can imagine goes down in the pits and workshops at F-Zero venues.

You take a speedboat to a tiny island, more a sandbar, just off the coast. The water is unreal turquoise. Your partner looks angelic. The sand is gleaming. You have a chiller full of cocktail ingredients. You sit in the shade of a palm making endless cocktails and worshipping the sun.
