Wherever you are in the world: good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. It is time for your 5 a day.

One day, the UK government said, "You should eat 5 portions of fruit or veg[etables] per day." Turns out you should probably eat more than that. But we think it's pretty catchy, so we've hijacked it. Here we'll list FIVE pieces of music per DAY that we think you should check out. As the Italians say, we'll be catching two pigeons with one bean (prendere due piccioni con una fava): we help spread the word about MORE artists, plus we're giving YOU more music to listen to. It's all a joy for us, really!

It is time for some sounds. There is Geotheory with a supersmooth ultrafluid chilled beats 'n' synths combo. There is also some nocturnal sway from the collaboration between Nightizm and Polar Youth, lush with brooding energy. Then there is a band called Fazed on a Pony with some melodic-abrasive lo-fi rock. Fourth up, there's some soothing-intense beats in Boris The Lucid's hook-laden and bumpy 'The Blue Saviour'. And lastly: luscious cocktail-lounge-summoning sounds at work in the gorgeous 'Shinji' by Strider-kun.

Alternative Final Fantasy VII soundtrack (and we know that's controversial).

Leaving the club early to traipse the streets alone with half-drunk thoughts.

Going for a bike-ride on a sunny but breezy day.

Slow-motion skateboarding would look nice right about here…

Hanging out at the poolside bar in a luxury hotel. You are melting out of sheer bliss.
