Ah...This will be my last 405 news roundup for this month and hopefully the start of brilliant not half - hearted sunny weather. But, do not fret, I will be back next month continuing to bring you the latest news in art, music and entertainment. In today's roundup, we have Kate Nash, Green Day, Jameson Empire Award winners and Ricky Gervais and his 'Office'. KATE NASH HAS DISCUSSED MUSICIAN'S RIGHTS WITH PAUL MCCARTNEY The above happened while Nash was working for the newly set up Featured Artists' Coalition of which she is a board member. This coalition also features members from Blur and Radiohead and was set up earlier this month by musicians for musicians. It is meant to protect artists' rights. Nash has described her meeting with McCartney as a 'priveledge'. She is also busy rehersing new material for her fothcoming second album. I think this coalition is a really got idea especially after we have seen so much artist material being leaked on the internet illegally before its time. GREEN DAY'S 'AMERICAN IDIOT' IS TO BECOME A BROADWAY MUSICAL First Bat for Lashes, now Green Day. Their 2004 album is to be made into a musical that will first hit California and then might hit Broadway. Green Day's new album ' 21st Century Breakdown' will be released on May 21st 2009.
