It’s been years since I’ve had the chance to talk to Foy Vance - a man I respect and care for deeply. There was a time where I’d see him in New York often, while he was promoting his album Joy of Nothing. Last year, he released an album titled The Wild Swan - a beautiful exploration of where his sound could go.

For the latest edition of the 405 Exchange podcast, Ken Grand-Pierre spoke to Foy Vance about family and the importance of caring for them, learning about the type of songwriter Foy Vance is, the journey of The Wild Swan, and plans for the future. Check out their conversation below, along with the acoustic video for 'Bangor Town'.

“My father used to say, ‘Foy, son, you could fall in shit and come out smelling like roses’”
