It’s a beautiful thing when talent over-exceeds the hype that surrounds it. This was very much the case with Mura Masa’s self-titled debut album. Yes, there’s fierce talents such as Damon Albarn, Christine and the Queens, Charli XCX, etc. but the heavy hand of songwriter/producer Alex Crossan can certainly be felt all throughout the album. Along with the album has come the demand for live shows, which Crossan has rapidly excelled at.

For the latest edition of the 405 Exchange podcast, Ken Grand-Pierre spoke to Mura Masa about his origin story, collaborations, and evolving. Check out their conversation below along with a stream of 'Messy Love'.

“It’s kind of like that thing of the collective vs. the individual.”
