Not all music conjures up visceral imagery that transports you to a specific place, but luckily for us we have Warhaus; the sultry European project that we’ve always wanted. Birthed in Belgium by Balthzar’s Maarten Devoldere, Warhaus allows Devoldere to shroud himself in darkness; that human darkness that sparks more fun and lust than it does anger or aggression.

For the latest edition of the 405 Exchange podcast, Ken Grand-Pierre spoke to Devoldere about recording an album in the mountains, working with best friend Jasper Maekelberg, and the dynamic of Maarten and Sylvie’s relationship. Check out their conversation below along with the video for 'Love's A Stranger'.

“The songs that are the most chaotic are about going out and getting fucked up at night.”
