According to "sources", reports Billboard, we might be in for a nice little surprise on Thursday 24th December, i.e. Christmas Eve. Namely, it's that The Beatles will finally be arriving on streaming services.

Whilst there are "conflicting reports" around the date, there is a "strong indication" that it's Christmas Eve.

After negotiations with Apple Records in 2014 for a six-month exclusive for one particular music streaming service fizzled out, former Universal Music Group digital executive Rob Wells revived talks in January this year, with the according paperwork allegedly signed mid-September.

It's not yet known which exact streaming services will get to deliver The Beatles' music to millions of ears around the world - they are already available on Pandora, made possible because of different licensing applicable to web radio.
