Up-and-coming Birmingham trio The Cosmics are set to release their debut self-titled EP on June 13th and if ‘Eyes’ is anything to go by it’s going to be a world full of infectiously scuzzy guitar hooks. The single perfectly encapsulates their raw energy with a 60s surf beat that builds and collapses into a world of fuzzy garage-rock. There’s razor sharp guitar lines and vocals yelps that are addictively catchy.

The new video see’s the band skate around a beat-up town as cyclops’ with giant green eyes on each of their heads. It’s surreal and homemade, much like their music.

The Cosmics comes out June 13th. It was recorded by Test Icicles’ Rory Attwell whose production credits include the likes of Palma Violets, The Vaccines, Yuck, Mazes and Male Bonding among many others.

On this release they've perfectly captures the debauchery of their live performances. If you're in or around London, you can witness their force first-hand when they play their EP release gig at the Old Blue Last on June 13th.
