Back in 1968, film director Paul Ferrara joined The Doors during their European tour to gather footage for a documentary about the band. Originally financed and produced by The Doors themselves, Feast of Friends never actually saw an official theatrical release due to the funding being pulled after what has become known as the 'Miami incident' (Jim Morrison's arrest after allegedly exposing himself to the audience).

Since then, Feast of Friends has circulated only in bootleg format that could only be found in the deepest parts of the internet. This is all about to change, since the documentary has been remastered for a proper release. Captured in cinema verité-style, Feast of Friends is the only Doors documentary filmed with all four members alive, and contains both live performances and behind-the-scenes footage.

This amazing piece of The Doors' history will be available for purchase on November 11th. Check out the trailer below.
