After seven years and five albums, producer/vocalist The-Dream, aka Terius Nash, has announced he's leaving the iconic Def Jam.

The news broke by The-Dream himself yesterday morning, who posted the label's logo on Instagram and wrote "I will miss this logo. It all started here! Love Everything that I achieved there, EXODUS THE-DREAM #exodusthedream."

Regarding his state of mind at the moment, the R&B musician posted a video of ocean waves with the description "Let the New Tides bring The Things not yet seen! There's more where those came from! We have only heard what I've brought to shore the things that lay in the deep want lye there for much longer."

Def Jam saw The-Dream dropping albums like Love/Hate, Love King and 2013's IV Play, besides collaborating on hits like Rihanna's 'Umbrella'.
