It took a few years for 35-year-old Terius Youndell Nash, better known as The-Dream to break out. For years he was co-writing hits, such as Usher's 'Baby,' Rihanna's 'Umbrella,' and Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It), among others, but it wasn't until his 2009 sophomore album Love vs. Money that he began to make a name for himself.

After numerous push-backs and renaming strategies, Nash seems to finally ready to publish his "final" LP, now titled Love IV: IV Play. With a May 7th release date penciled in, Nash released his brand new vocal-modifier heavy track 'Tron'.

There's a definite southern rap vibe on the track, which is a big stretch from his usual R&B yearnings. Check out the adventurous change of pace below.
