Swedish electronica maestro The Field has had dissected At The Drive-In's seminal single, 'One Armed Scissor'. The brutal, melodic assault of the post-hardcore original has been surgically altered – there's stringent wobs of hypnotic bass and a Gatling drum loops. It's stretched beyond repair, and the breakneck speed of the first take has been elongated so much that it's barely recognisable – instead, we have a murmuring, minimalist house cut with flourishes of tidal synth and a metronomic rhythm that could contend with The Chromatics' 'Tick Of The Clock'.

The remix is out opn 12” vinyl 13th May via Transgressive. A special coloured version is due on Record Store Day (20th April).
