Yesterday we spoke about John Peel's Record Collection going online, and now we're sat here at 6am looking through the first section of the online archive. The internet isn't just about porn and cat .gifs - it also houses brilliant ideas like this.

Due to the size of his collection (25'000 albums and 40'000 singles) it's going to take a bit of time to be able to input all the data - so for now we have the fortune of looking through the letter 'A' in his alphabetised record collection. Letter 'B' will be unveiled on May 8th.

We're not sure how many albums will be made available to stream, though the first album of the list (0001), Save The Last Gherkin For Me! by Mike Absalom, can be heard below.
