It seems that The Flaming Lips are massive fans of the book-turned-movie series Ender's Game. Not only did they craft a song for the soundtrack, but they were so inspired by the film (which stars Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, and many others) that they recorded an entire EP of music based on it, titled Peace Sword.

It's due out digitally on 29 October, a few days before the movie is released, and will be out on CD and vinyl a month later, 29 November. Pitchfork have premiered the first cut from that EP, 'Assassin Beetle - The Dream is Ending' today. Watch a trailer for Ender's Game below.
