The Flaming Lips are so into Record Store Day. They've released collaborative albums, covers of The Dark Side of a Moon, toy frogs that contain their first ever demo, a life-sized chocolate human skull, and some other strange things as well. For 2014, though, they're upping the ante and releasing a vinyl version of '7 Skies H3', which is their 24 hour long song. It made its way to the internet on Halloween of 2011, and 17 copies of the track were eventually released on flash drives encased in human skulls because The Flaming Lips are just like that.

The track is "extracted and reduced" to only 43 minutes. It was mastered by Dave Fridmann, engineered by Michael Ivins, and the artwork is done by George Salsibury. Record Store Day is 19th April.
