Following on from the short documentary we looked at a few days ago comes a look at more of an individual contribution to culture. Another in the trend of so called (by us) 'artisanal films', this look at ex-Nike designer, innovator and textile genius Mike Friton by a small Portland production called named Cineastas is an intimate portrait of an artist and designer whose skills seem almost unattainable. The way the film humbly captures the intricacies of his work, his vision, and the physical aspects of his workshop make for a gripping and inspiring short documentary.
