Perhaps one of the best things Record Store Day has brought us, besides the increased revenue for independent stores and interest in physical products, is the arrival of the Record Store Chart in association with Record Store Day and The Official Charts Company.

Earlier today Steve Lamacq revealed the first ever chart, and Alabama Shakes took the top spot, which is impressive considering they beat Lana Del Rey, Adela and The Black Keys to get there.

Have a look at the list below.

  • 1. Alabama Shakes – ‘Boys & Girls’
  • 2. Adele – ’21′
  • 3. Trembling Bells – ‘The Marble Downs’
  • 4. Graham Coxon – ‘A+E’
  • 5. M. Ward – ‘A Wasteland Companion’
  • 6. Lana Del Rey – ‘Born To Die’
  • 7. Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun – ‘Death’
  • 8. The Black Keys – ‘El Camino’
