Explaining Soft Pink Truth, the spirited experimental side-project of Matmos' founder Drew Daniel, is still quite a trial.

The conceptual project was originally founded on a dare from fellow producer Matthew Herbert, which Daniel seemed to take incredibly seriously. A few weeks back, Daniel revealed Why Do The Heathen Rage?, a collection of self-described "Electronic Profanations of Black Metal Classics." It was Daniel's third album released as SPT since 2004's Do You Want New Wave or Do You Want the Soft Pink Truth?.

The album is an ultra-provocative of murky samples and nightmarish progressions, which somewhat fits in line to SPT's remix (though it's being billed as a cover) of Daft Punk's 'Teachers'. Daniel morphs the Homework track into a long-running collection of familiar samples and muddled compositions. Realistically, the remix simply follows the original's template and manages to include all the name drops used in the 1997 track.
