Ahead of the release of their debut album Poor Girls/Broken Boys (due out later this month via Midnight Pink/Believe Digital), Scottish band The Vegan Leather have unveiled the visuals for new single 'Heavy Handed', which succeeds to previously-shared 'French Exit' and 'The Hit'.

'Heavy Handed' references Marcel Duchamp and is "about being part of a cultural scene or environment that you're not comfortable with, not feeling 'cool' enough or that your art isn't 'good' enough," as singer Marie explains. "It's that pressure to feed the cultural zeitgeist but standing in defiance and writing what you actually want to write about and being able to be who you want to be.” The colourful video for the song was created Gianluca Bernacchi and can be watched below.

The Vegan Leather play Glasgow's King Tut's on November 2nd (album launch).
