Pitchfork are reporting that The Velvet Underground have reached a settlement with the Andy Warhol Foundation over that banana image.

The image, which Warhol took from an advertisement but never copyrighted, has caused quite a stir over the past 18 months. The Andy Warhol Foundation, which was founded after the legendary artist's death, used the image for a series of iPad accessories. The band felt the foundation was trying to "deceive the public" into thinking the band had a connection with the products.

The original lawsuit, which was filed in January 2012, was dismissed after a settlement was reached.
