It's not too often The Weeknd opens up in interviews, but the Canadian crooner has shared a ton of detail about what we can expect with his forthcoming album. With VMAN, Abel Tesfaye shared that the project will feel "aggressive but still sexy" and that artists like The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge played roles as inspiration.

"We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it'll be the best-sounding album I've ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced," he said.
