Rodaidh McDonald, who produced The xx’s Mercury Price winning debut album is again producing their well anticipated up coming album and that it is in its final stages of mixing. It's fair to say that McDonald's stamp on their work is another aspect of the album that fans can be excited about, since now we know that the band are in good hands. While a release date has not been revealed yet, band member Jamie Smith revealed last year that the band will hopefully "get it done in time to be asked to do festivals next year" and that 'club music' is an influence. Could be interesting.
