In case you were ever interested in seeing what Kanye West looks like as Jesus being crucified, now is your chance, as there's now a life-sized statue of exactly that on Hollywood Boulevard. The statue is called False Idol and it was erected by LA street artist Plastic Jesus following Kanye's very public meltdown.

"He’s a genius at writing and producing but he’s not a God, and that’s where we put him," he said. "Until there’s an issue in his life or a hiccup in his career, then we crucify him. We’ve seen it before with people like Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan. The same people who put him into a God-like place are the same yapping at his heels for a piece of flesh when something happens."

It's also part of a series of art, which is inspired by the Oscars. It will appear at a Plastic Jesus exhibition with Billy Morrison called Anesthesia: The Art of Oblivion at Gibson Brands Sunset in West Hollywood starting on February 25.

We'd also like to point you in the direction of this ridiculously wonderful song from Ohyeahsumi, and this piece on loneliness and showing sympathy beyond consumption.
