Tidal may have gotten some of the year's biggest exclusives but it looks like not even Beyonce, Kanye West and Jay Z could save the streaming service from taking an L. According to a legal filing from their holding company Aspiro AB, the streaming service doubled its losses since last year, while revenue went up just 30%.

Last year, it was recorded that Tidal lost $28 million, in comparison to $10.4 million in 2014. And while revenue rose from $36.2 million to $47 million, it was noted that the royalties paid to the music industry is what has been dragging it down. Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Naeringsliv has analysed and reported that Aspiro AB may have around $438,000 in unpaid bills and overdue payments to about hundred different creditors.
