Tim Hecker and Daniel Lopatin (Onehtrix Point Never to you and me) are joining forces to release a collaborative LP on Mexican Summer’s Software imprint. Named Instrumental Tourist, the record is due out on November 20th. Listen to the first cut from the album, 'Uptown Psychedelica' below.

As well as the duo's first collaboration, the record will also be the first release in Software's SSTUDIOS series, which will highlight unique partnerships "in the field of electronic music to create collaborative works of quality and vision."

According to a press release, Hecker and Lopatin "designed a sound palette from the acoustic resonance of digitally-sourced 'Instruments of the World'," and, in the spirit of the pair’' experimental credentials, also plan to record the album in the style of jazz-based improvisations.

Hecker and Loptain will also be performing together at the Unsound Festival in Krakow, Poland, which takes place October 14-21.
